Jarad Dawkins and Malcolm Brickhouse are two Brooklyn based 12-year-olds who formed a band with their childhood friend Alec Atkins called Unlocking The Truth. However it’s not the music you would expect from these preteens, they are the most brutal 6^th grade metal band ever. You may have already seen these guys on YouTube absolutely destroying Times Square with some brutal metal breakdowns, but if not check em’ out below!

Directed by Dave Grohl and along with a lineup of killer musicians, ‘Sound City’ is a documentary about the fabled recording studio that was located in Van Nuys, California. It gives a cool insight into the music and rock recordings from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s from artists such as Elton John, Fleetwood Mac and Nirvana. BME Melbourne is proud to be an independently owned and operated street wear label, focusing on producing premium quality, Limited Edition garments and accessories. Founded in late 2010 by JRF, BME is big on keeping things local, organic and steering away from the status quo.

As an illustrator, JRF still makes a point of drawing and designing many of the graphics himself, as well as collaborating with a bunch of highly respected local and nationally acclaimed artists, including Ben Brown, Rik Lee, Sarah McCloskey and Malicious, to name a few.

Melbourne’s creative subculture and it’s DIY mentality has always been something that’s inspired us, so we thought it’d be pretty rad to work on a little creative project of our own.

We’re proud to announce the BME x AFENDS Exclusive Edition collaboration tee, which officially drops on Sunday 16 June, at 8pm. With 20 tees available in store (Afends Concept Store - 201 Greville St, Prahran; available Monday), and 50 online through BME, they’re set to showcase the hands on approach and subversive mindset that both labels have come to embrace.
