Get to Know: Ben Saddleton
We caught up with Ben Saddleton to get to know the latest addition to the team. From what he’s been working on to what inspires him day to day, here’s a closer look at Ben.

Where did you grow up, and what did skating look like there?
"I grew up in Port Macquarie, skating there is sick bunch of cool people. The skatepark there at the beach has to be my favourite park to skate, not so good for street skating but there’s a few good spots."

What does a day off look like for you?
"A day off for me is usually just chilling chilling with my friends, go for a swim and try take care of my body hit the sauna then maybe hit the park for at night roll."

Where are you based these days, and what’s it like skating there?
"I’m living in Sydney at the moment, skating here is so sick, so many good spots heaps of people to skate with. Feels like the place to be for skating in Australia."

What keeps you motivated to keep pushing?
"I honestly just love it the feeling of getting a clip or learning something new the satisfaction you get from that or just simply rolling around is the best feeling. It also is automatic now, if I don’t skate I don’t feel right."

How did you first connect with AFENDS, and what made it feel like the right fit?
"I first connected with AFENDS through my friend Nixen who also skates for AFENDS, it felt like the right fit to be working on some projects with Nixen and that I already liked the clothes, I also like that the brand is good for the planet."

What are you wearing most from the current drop?
"Probably the Scorpius Distressed Hoodie and the Pablo Denim Baggys"
