Taylor LaShae at Wategos

In celebration of nostalgic Australian Summers, Afends launches the Women’s Season 4 capsule collection with designs inspired by the laid back, free spirited sentiment of yesteryear. The collection includes a selection of iconic Afends designs- the trusty Tennis Playsuit, Beat Tyler Denim Shorts and the Onyx Overalls all make a comeback in new Summer colours and textures.

The retro Summer vibe also resonates in the campaign and video that supports the launch. The campaign stars ultimate Afends girl Taylor LaShae- she’s strong, bright, bubbly and a ball of fun. We flew the LA based model to our little coastal hometown of Byron Bay to show her how we celebrate Summer- lazy days down at the beach and enjoying the sunshine.

The collection features beach-friendly key pieces such as the Tennis Playsuit in Blush, the perfect beach no-fuss outfit. Chuck it on, grab your towel and bikini and you’re ready to roll. Ribbed styles also take a stand with the Stripe Tube Tank in a vintage inspired stripe in hues of maroon, brown, and cream. The Lola Dress with its ribbed, fitted design and midi-length is flattering yet easy wear. An Afends favourite, the Onyx Overalls makes a comeback in retro pink. Cut to a classic, loose-fitting silhouette, they've stood the test of time and are now available in a range of vintage washes & fabrics. Then there is the Beat Tyler Shorts, our favourite go-to denim piece. Featuring a relaxed mid rise fit and raw hem, you'll wear these bad boys everywhere.
